TICKETS FOR SMALL ART AUCTION HOUSE ON SALE AT DGLK!

Doongalik Studios is pleased to partner with The Small Art Auction House, a unique art event and fundraiser in aid of local art aficionado - Jon Murray's art school tuition at Hunter College CUNY!  The Small Art Auction House is designed to be a fun take on the traditional auction house and will be comprised of a live-auction of original “postcard” sized artworks donated by over 50 Bahamian and international artists. The “postcards” are in a collection of media including drawing, painting, photography, mixed media, textiles and sculpture. There is no theme. The only guideline provided to the artists was that the the postcard should reference their larger body of work. All postcards will start bidding at US$50.00.

In addition to the live-auction, The Small Art Auction House will have a small silent auction of works by local artists as well as live music from The Bahamas Music Conservatory Ensemble and a raffle. To top it all off we are partnering with Poinciana Paper Press to publish a limited-edition handmade book inspired by and made exclusively for this event. The collection of six-word stories (short and sweet) titled “Death, Debt & Divorce” by Bahamian and Caribbean writers will be on sale throughout the evening.

Tickets are limited at $25 and will include admission, the ability to bid and complimentary wine and hor d’oeuvres and ARE ON SALE NOW AT DOONGALIK STUDIOS!

For more information on the event, the artists, ticket sales or bidding information please email smallartauctionhouse@gmail.com or visit the website here.
